How do I make an appointment?

Making an appointment with us is simple and convenient. You have two options: Fill Out the Contact Form: Visit our Contact page and fill out the form provided. It's a quick and efficient way to initiate the appointment process. Email Directly: Send an email to counseling@jyothijames.com expressing your interest in scheduling an appointment. Upon receiving your request, we'll promptly email you an intake form. Complete the form, and our coordinator will then work to schedule your sessions based on the best fit and availability.

Do you take insurance?

Jyothi James Counseling operates as an out-of-network provider with all insurance companies. If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial or full reimbursement from your insurance company for the services provided. Here are the steps to understand and utilize your out-of-network benefits: a) Call Your Insurance Company: Contact your insurance company to inquire about your out-of-network benefits for behavioral health services. This will give you a clearer understanding of the coverage you can expect. b) Check Your Deductible: Inquire about your out-of-network deductible and confirm whether it has been met. Understanding this aspect helps in determining how your insurance coverage will be applied. c) Reimbursement Details: Ask your insurance company about the reimbursement percentage for individual therapeutic services, specifically under billing code 90834. (For individual sessions). This information will provide insights into the financial support you can expect. You have the option to request an insurance letter from me, which you can submit to your insurance company. This letter outlines the details of the services received, facilitating the reimbursement process.

What form of payments are accepted?

To streamline our payment process, we kindly request that payments be made in full after each session. We offer the convenience of accepting all major credit cards, debit cards, as well as HSA/FSA cards. Please note that we do not accept payments in cash or by check. For any inquiries related to insurance coverage, please refer to the information provided in the previous question.

What kind of therapy do you offer?

At Jyothi James Counseling, we provide a range of therapeutic services, including: Individual Therapy: Tailored one-on-one sessions to address your unique needs. Group Therapy: Occasionally, we offer group therapy for a collaborative and supportive environment. Specializations: Our therapist, Jyothi James, specializes in the following therapeutic approaches: Psychodynamic Therapy: Exploring the deep-seated dynamics and patterns influencing behavior. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): A technique designed to process distressing memories, reducing their impact. Accelerated Experiential-Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP): Focused on fostering emotional transformation and healing. These specialized approaches aim to provide you with a comprehensive and effective therapeutic experience. What is your cancellation policy

In order to cancel or reschedule, you must do so within 48 hours of your session. I understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and I strive to accommodate emergencies. Please notify me by emailing counseling@jyothijames.com in case of such emergenices Cancellation Outside 48-Hour Window: If a cancellation occurs outside the 48-hour window, unfortunately, you will be subject to a full session charge.

Do you offer remote or in person sesisons?

For your convenience and flexibility, Jyothi James Counseling offers both remote and in-person sessions. Remote Sessions: Remote sessions are conducted using telehealth through a secure and HIPAA-compliant platform. This allows you to engage in therapy from the comfort of your own space while ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of your sessions. In-Person Sessions: Our in-person office is conveniently located in Manhattan for those who prefer face-to-face interactions. These appointments are limited.

Do you offer partnerships with churches?

Yes! 1. Contact your diaconate/pastoral care team/pastor to ask if they offer financial support for counseling services. 2. They may ask you to pay a co-pay for each session, which is due at the end of each appointment. 3. Church will pay directly to Jyothi James Counseling for balance. Email counseling@jyothijames.com
